The empty tomb has so much to say to us. It puts us in touch with the emptiness we often feel in life, particularly at the death of a loved one. But it also serves as an invitation for Jesus to do something new. The irony is that Jesus himself creates the emptiness of the tomb by leaving death behind in order to re-enter our lives as the Risen Lord. The message is clear: do not be afraid of the emptiness in life, for it is an emptiness that only he can fill, which he wants to do my making his home in us.
A blessed Easter to you all.
