On Sunday, June 10, four Sisters with ties to the Spokane Diocese joined other members of their congregation, the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, at Our Lady of Angels Convent in Aston, Pa., for a joyful jubilee celebration of their commitment and service — totaling 200 years of service to the Church.

The following Golden Jubilarians served the Diocese of Spokane.

Sister Kathleen V. Carroll ministered at St. Joseph Children Home and St. Charles Borromeo School. She is now ministering with the retired sisters at St. Ann Convent, Tacoma.

Sister Sheila Casey ministered at St. Charles Convent and at St. Joseph Home. She is now a parish visitor at St. Rita Parish, Tacoma.

Sister Mary O’Mahony taught at St. Charles School. She is now Director of Attendance at Notre Dame High School, Riverside, CA.

Sister Flavia Schulz was a parish home visitor for St. Charles Parish. She is now retired and resides at St. Ann Convent, Tacoma.

The Diamond, Golden, and Silver Jubilarians, 38 in all, were joined by members of the congregation from various parts of the United States, Central America, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
