Providence Sister Dolores (Mildred Mary) Reisenauer died Oct. 3 at Mt. St. Joseph, Spokane. She had been a Providence Sister for 67 of her 87 years.
The vigil was Oct. 5; the funeral Mass was celebrated the next morning. Both took place at the chapel at Mt. St. Joseph. She was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery.
She was born in Colton, Wash., and attended Holy Guardian Angels School and Colton High School. After graduating she entered nurseís training at Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane and entered the Providence community as a postulant in 1935. She made final vows in 1938.
She resumed nurseís training at St. Patrick School of Nursing in Missoula, Mont., and graduated in 1938.
Sister Dolores later earned a bachelorís degree in Nursing Education from the College (now University) of Great Falls, and studied at Gonzaga University and Seattle University.
Most of her ministry took place in various health care positions. In the Spokane Diocese she served at St. Ignatius Hospital in Colfax, St. Mary Hospital (now Medical Center) in Walla Walla, and as a nurse in Spokane.
