Matthew Kelly, author of several best-selling inspirational books, will be paying a visit to Spokane the weekend of Feb. 22-23.

Kelly will be speaking to a student-only audience from Gonzaga University the evening of Friday, Feb. 22. The following morning he is scheduled for a book signing at The Kaufer Company, 907 W. Boone Ave. in Spokane.

That evening Kelly will speak at St. Augustine Church, 428 W. 19th Ave., beginning at 7:30 p.m. That appearance is open to the public.

Kelly first earned international attention with the publication of his book A Call to Joy. In his early 20s at the time, Kelly has gone on to publish seven titles in all. Some 400,000 copies of his books have been sold. His personal appearances have been attended by nearly 2 million people.

Now 28 years old, he is described as a remarkably charismatic, inspirational speaker who addresses the basic questions of life: “What is my life’s purpose?”

According to Kelly, “What you become is infinitely more important than what you do, or what you have.”
