Holy Family School, Clarkston, renovates windows with 'Heal Our Pane'

the Inland Register

(From the May 2, 2002 edition of the Inland Register)

A renovation project to replace windows in Holy Family School, Clarkston, has been titled "Heal Our Pane."

The window replacements are being funded by individuals who wish to have a nameplate placed beside the window. The nameplate would display the donor's name, or a memorial of a special individual.

The windows cost about $280 per section. Two classrooms have received new windows so far.

Perhaps the windows will be replaced in time for Holy Family's upcoming celebration of its 80th anniversary. A reunion celebration has been scheduled for all classes on Saturday, June 22, at the school. Invited are all alumni, past teachers and pastors.

Tours of the building will be available, and a short program will be performed at 2 p.m.

Concessions will be sold throughout. The day will conclude with Mass at 5:30 p.m.

Recently the fourth, fifth and sixth grade classes participated in a contest, sponsored by the local Eagles lodge. The winning artwork for first place was created by fourth grader Mary Joss of Holy Family. Among her prizes: a $50 savings bond, a trophy, and $20 cash.

Her art, depicting the Blue Bridge over the Snake River, will go on to compete at the state level.
