Cecilia Agnes Codd
Cecilia (Dufault) Codd, mother of Father Kevin Codd of the Diocese of Spokane, died Nov. 17 in Spokane.
The vigil service was Nov. 19 in Spokane. The funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 20 at St. Charles Church, Spokane, her home parish. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Yakima. She and her husband, Bob, raised 11 children. Her husband preceded her in death.
Besides Father Kevin Codd, rector of the American College in Louvain, Belgium, she is survived by four daughters – Sheila LeDuc of Kalispell, Mont.; Therese Codd of Seward, Ark.; and Eileen Codd and Patricia Codd, both of Spokane – and by six other sons: Robert Codd of Tukwila, Wash.; Philip, William and Nicholas Codd, Spokane; Louis Codd of Greenville, S.C.; and Paul Codd, Seattle.

Sister Eileen E. (Eleanor Therese) Parks SNJM
Holy Names Sister Eileen Parks, 88, died Nov. 7 in Seattle.
The funeral Mass was celebated in Seattle on Nov. 11. A celebration of life was held Nov. 14 in Spokane at the Convent of the Holy Names. She was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery Nov. 15.
Sister Eileen taught primary grades in Oregon and Washington for 46 years. Most of her ministry took place in the Seattle area, including ministry at Group Health Hospital and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Sacred Heart Church, Seattle. She also joined demonstrators seeking closure of the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Ga.

Sister Lucille (M. Jean Claire) Foster SNJM
Sister Lucille Foster of the Sisters of the Holy Names died Nov. 21 in Spokane.
The vigil service was Nov. 26; the funeral Mass, Nov. 27. Both took place in the chapel of the Convent of the Holy Names in Spokane.
She was born in Spokane and educated at Holy Names Academy. She attended Marylhurst College and graduated from Holy Names College with an education degree in 1927.
Two years later she began her teaching career in Portland, Ore. She taught in several schools in Oregon and Washington, including, in Spokane, Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Lourdes.
In time she worked as a tutor, a receptionist for her Religious community, and as a visitor to the elderly in St. Aloysius Parish, Spokane.
She retired in 1992.
