Executioner’s ‘confessions’ to be presented in Spokane

Don Cabana of the criminal justice department of the University of Southern Mississippi will speak Feb. 9-10 in Spokane.

His presentation is titled “Death at Midnight: Confessions of an Executioner.”

Cabana is a former corrections professional, the subject of a British Broadcasting Company documentary about the death penalty.

His appearances are sponsored by Catholic Charities’ Parish Social Ministry, Gonzaga University School of Law, the Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane, the Diocese of Spokane’s Prison Ministry, and theInland Northwest Death Penalty Abolition Group.

He will speak Sunday, Feb. 9, at Sacred Heart Parish, 219 E. Rockwood Blvd. in Spokane, from 3-5 p.m.

The next day he will speak at Gonzaga University School of Law, from 3-5 p.m.

There is no admission charge to either engagement. Donations will be accepted.
