St. John Vianney School to celebrate its 50th anniversary next month

St. John Vianney School, Spokane, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with numerous events scheduled for the weekend of May 17-18.

On Saturday, May 17, a best ball golf tournament will be held at Meadow Wood Golf Course, Liberty Lake. Prizes include a car for a hole-in-one. Cost is $50 per person. Foursomes can register by calling 926-7987. Golfers are asked to register as soon as possible.

On Sunday, May 18, an anniversary Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the parish.

A car show on the school grounds will follow, from noon-4 p.m. To show a car, call 926-7408.

A carnival will also be held on the school grounds, with bingo played in the parish hall.

The day will conclude with a barbecue.
