Families to bike, raise awareness of poverty

the Inland Register

“Brake the Cycle” is a family event designed to help raise society’s awareness of the presence of poverty.

The Catholic Charities-sponsored ride will take place Saturday, June 21, beginning at 10 a.m.

The family bike ride will begin at the east end of the Valley Mall, at Sullivan Road, and continue to Falls Park in Post Falls, Idaho, a one-way trip of 14 miles.

Lunch, entertainment and education will be provided.

The opportunity is free to riders of all skill levels.

The ride is co-sponsored by the Catholic Charities offices of the Diocese of Spokane and the Diocese of Boise.
