Regional family life ministers to meet next month in Spokane
the Inland Register
(From the May 22, 2003 edition of the Inland Register)
On June 12-13, men and women who serve in various family life ministries throughout the Northwest will be gathering for a regional meeting at Clare Center, Spokane.
They are members of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministries (NACFLM).
The group’s primarily purpose is to develop and promote the recommendations made in the U.S. bishops’ 1980 document “A Family Perspective” as a practical response to current societal challenges to marriage and family life. Members serve families through diocesan, parish, organizational and individual ministries.
This regional gathering is a time for members in the Northwest to network, be spiritually enriched, dialogue about Catholic family issues and concerns of today, and support one another in this growing ministry.
Anyone interested in learning more about NACFLM is invited to attend an information session scheduled for 7–8:30pm Thursday, June 12 at Clare Center, 4624 E. Jamieson Rd, Spokane. The meeting will be followed by an ice cream social.
For more information call 484-4668 (Spokane).
