Sylvia B. Mangan

Sylvia Bernice Mangan, mother of Father James Mangan, pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Otis Orchards, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Southwest Washington Medical Center, Vancouver, Wash. She was 83.

Mrs. Mangan was born March 17, 1920, in Walla Walla. Her maiden name was Driscoll. She was a homemaker who lived in Vancouver for the past 25 years, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Her husband, John, died in 1997.

In addition to Father Mangan, survivors include her son, David Mangan of Portland; and three granddaughters.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 13 at St. Joseph Church, Vancouver. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Vancouver.
