Catholic Daughters support seminary campaign

the Inland Register

(From the May 20, 2004 edition of the Inland Register)

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas recently made a $500 donation to the “Here I am Lord, Send Me” campaign, to support the education and formation of seminarians. Presenting the donation on behalf of Court Washington No. 196 were Regent Pat Connell (center) and Vice Regent Carole Shaw. Members of the Catholic Daughters held several fund-raisers over several months, including breakfasts, a Christmas Luncheon, and direct solicitations from individual members. Pat Connell indicated that the Catholic Daughters unanimously voted to undertake this project and that the donation was the largest ever made by Court Washington 196. “These women clearly worked very hard to make this donation,” said Bishop White Seminary’s rector, Father Darrin Connall (left). “I am truly grateful for their commitment to the future of priestly formation in our diocese.” (IR photo from Bishop White Seminary)
