State Knights of Columbus support seminarians

the Inland Register

(From the Feb. 3, 2005 edition of the Inland Register)

At a regional meeting of the Knights of Columbus held at St. Thomas Moore Parish on Jan. 8, Pat Maloney, the Supreme Knight for the State of Washington, presented the Diocese of Spokane with a check for $20,000. Receiving the check for Bishop Skylstad, who was enroute to Jerusalem at the time, was Father Steven Dublinski, Vicar General for the diocese. The check represents the contributions made by the state councils of the Knights in support of the statewide Pennies For Heaven Program the past fraternal year. Each year, the Washington Knights support the PFH and 365 Program a penny a day, a prayer a day for seminarians. This check was in addition to checks in the same amount given to the Diocese of Yakima and the Archdiocese of Seattle for the same purpose.
