the Inland Register

(From the Feb. 3, 2005 edition of the Inland Register)

Young adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to participate in the Theology on Tap (TAP) program being initiated by the Parish Services Office.

Participants are invited to gather at Heroes and Legends Sports Bar, located on the corner of Riverside and Lincoln in Spokane, on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Presentations on various topics start at 7:30; a social follows at 9 p.m.

The presentations start on Feb. 22 with “Why Do Catholics Do That?”, a question-and-answer session with Father Mike Savelesky, Inland Register columnist, pastor of Assumption Parish, Spokane, and popular Gonzaga University teacher.

Other sessions:
• March 1, Father Dan Barnett: “What Does Sex Have to Do With It?” – a discussion of “the theology of the body.”
• March 8, Father Bob McNeese: “Who is Jesus Christ?” Learn about the conversation, launched with Chapter 22 of the Gospel of Matthew.
• March 15, Don McKenzie: “What Makes a Week Holy?” The impact Holy Week can have on all the rest of the year.

There is no fee; the only cost is the individual’s food and beverage.

For more information, call the Parish Services Office: 358-7311.
