Monastic communities host vocations retreats

Monastic communities in the western United States are hosting vocation retreats in the coming months.

The Benedictines of Mount Angel Abbey in St. Benedict, Ore. about 45 minutes southeast of Portland are hosting a retreat for men from April 8-10. For information, call (503) 845-3030.

The Benedictine Sisters of Mount Benedict, Ogden, Utah, offer their retreat June 1-5; call (801) 479-6030.

Individual retreats for men also are upcoming at St. Martin Benedictine Abbey in Lacey, Wash., and Monastery of the Ascension in Jerome, Idaho, and for women at Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Salt Lake City, Utah.
