National college seminary leadership

the Inland Register

(From the July 7, 2005 edition of the Inland Register)

The National Association of College Seminaries recently held their annual convention at Borromeo College Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio. Participants in this year’s convention included formation advisors from Spokane’s Bishop White Seminary: Fathers Eugene Tracy, Jose Luis Millan, and Daniel Barnett, as well as the seminary’s rector, Father Darrin Connall. The theme for the annual convention was “Insights Into Contemporary Challenges.” Seminary faculty had the opportunity to gather information concerning the upcoming Apostolic Visitation of all U.S. seminaries. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Secretary for Priestly Formation, Father Edward Burns, talked about the scope of the visitation. According to Father Burns, the focus of the investigation will center on human formation as it relates to chaste celibate living. The convention concluded with the election of officers. Father Connall was elected to a second term as president of the Association. (IR photo from Bishop White Seminary)
