Catholic Foundation announces annual grant awards
the Inland Register

The Catholic Foundation hosted its annual grant awards luncheon June 9. Approximately 130 gathered for the luncheon, as grants were announced by Barbara Savage, Chairperson of the Foundations Board of Trustees, and distributed by Board members.
Grants were awarded to the following organizations:
St. Aloysius School, Spokane: $1,000, Parent Education Program.
St. Gall Parish, Colton: $274 for candles, brass toppers, oil.
Holy Family Adult Day Center, Spokane: $800 for assistive technology.
Right to Life, Spokane: $800 for the Billboard Project.
Human Life Education Foundation: $1,600 to print quarterly mailings.
Mid City Meals on Wheels: $250 for Sunday breakfast.
CAPA (Childbirth and Parenting Alone): $1,000 for instructor, supplies.
Our Place Community Ministries, Spokane: $1,500 for Avista, city utilities assistance.
St. Marys Presentation Parish, Deer Park: $400 for a microphone system.
Diocese of Spokane Detention Ministry: $1,400 for chaplaincy, volunteer formation, supplies.
Project Timothy, Dayton: $1,500 for assistance with housing, utilities, food, medications, transportation.
Natural Family Planning Program: $1,300 for teaching salaries.
Secular Franciscan Order: $1,000 for dinners, baskets.
St. Joseph Parish, Colbert: $600 for scholarships.
Cheney Outreach Center, Cheney: $1,000 for energy assistance.
St. Francis Xavier Parish, Spokane: $450 for workshop for catechists and teachers; $330 for membership packets.
Sacred Heart Parish, Tekoa: $400 for transportation, lodging, food for Los Embajadores program participants.
Caritas Center: $1,500 for utility and heat assistance for the elderly.
Kateri Northwest Ministry Institute: $996 for the Native American Ministry training reunion.
Eastern Washington University Newman Center, Cheney: $900 for copier, computer; $2,320 for El Paso Juarez Emersion trip.
Gonzaga Prep High School, Spokane: $1,000 for salaries, benefits.
St. Michael Mission, Inche-lium: $2,200 for playground equipment; $300 for church hall kitchen items; $300 for speaker and refreshments for parish mission; $1,000 for materials for summer Bible camp.
Miryams House of Transition, Spokane: $500 for computer.
St. Joseph Youth Program, Spokane: $200 Diocesan Youth Leadership Camp; $500 for youth ministry program.
Catholic Charities, Spokane: $800 social ministry gathering.
Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, Spokane: $1,200 for scholarships for the Handicapped Encounter Christ Retreat; $700 for tuition for Days of Prayer.
Holy Rosary Parish, Pomeroy: $100 for Eucharistic adoration; $250 for videos and catechisms for RCIA and adult education.
St. Anthony Parish, Newport: $500 for literature and materials for sacramental preparation program.
St. Thomas More Newman Center, Washington State University, Pullman: $380 for materials for religious education; $1,400 for retreat ministry.
Sacred Heart Parish, Brewster, and Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Okanogan: $2,000 for food and supplies for vacation Bible school Mission.
Office of Evangelization: $400 for formation and training of catechists.
St. Patrick Parish, Walla Walla: $500 for bilingual textbooks for sacramental preparation; $500 for tuition for youth ,inistry training; $300.00 for equipment and materials for catechist training
St. Mark Parish, Waitsburg/ St. Joseph Parish, Dayton: $500 for fetal model sets; $200 for books for ongoing formation.
St. Joseph Parish, Colbert: $400 for scholarships for lay ministry training.
St. Patrick Parish, Pasco: $420 for CD/casssette players for religious education.
Guardian Angel/St. Boniface School, Colton/Uniontown: $480 for video library.
St. Anthony Parish, Spokane: $350 for materials for vacation Bible school, sacramental preparation program; $500 for Gospel books for religious education and teacher training.
St. Patrick Parish, Spokane: $1,000 for textbooks for religious education; $250 for scholarships to the Catholic Conference
Diocesan Youth Adult Ministry: $400 for transpotation for young adult ministry.
St. Joseph Parish, Spokane: $500 for curriculum materials for religious education; $250 to attend Catholic Conference and workshops.
