Gonzaga Prep musicians selected for all-state performing groups

Music students from Gonzaga Prep, Spokane, have been accepted into the Washington Music Educators Associationís all-star performing groups.
Chosen to participate are Son Ca Vu, Wind Ensemble, Clarinet; Ryan Foster, Concert Band, Trumpet; Adelle Goettel, Concert Band, French Horn; Ann Freeman, Concert Band, Bass Clarinet; Ryan Fuchs, Mixed Choir; Jedd Breckenridge, Mixed Choir; Mattie Naccarato, Treble Choir; Ambre Rypien, Treble Choir; Beth Albrecht, Treble Choir; Julia Keefe, Jazz Choir; and Matt Malek, Symphonic Choir.
Outstanding music students from across Washington have received top honors by being selected to participate in the 52nd annual WMEA All-State Bands, Orchestras, Choirs and Jazz ensembles. The Prep students will join 1,100 other outstanding student musicians in Yakima in mid-February.
The All-State jazz groups will rehearse from Feb. 15-18. The All-State bands, orchestras and choirs will convene Feb. 17-20. The finest high school musicians in each of these categories will rehearse together under the direction of world-renowned conductors and present their final concerts in the Capitol Theatre and SunDome.
