Walla Walla Catholic Daughters announce student contest winners

The Catholic Daughters’ St. Cecilia Court #668 in Walla Walla sponsored a local education contest earlier this year, with winners announced last month.

Students in grades 3-12 submitted work in various categories – art, essays, poetry, posters, computer art, and music – addressing the themes of “Spreading the Love of Jesus” and “How Can I Help to Promote Peace in the World?”

Division I (Grades 3, 4, 5)

• Essays: Reilly Roach (second place, state); Mary Neal; Abigail Crowley; Blake Pincus.

First-place finishers at the state level qualify for the national competition, to be judged next month at the Catholic Daughters’ national convention.
