Two Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia who served in Spokane Diocese celebrate jubilees

On Sunday, June 11, 34 Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia were honored upon the occasion of their jubilee of profession.

Approximately 200 other members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia celebrated together at Our Lady of Angels Convent in Aston, Pa.

The ministries of the 34 jubilarians have taken them to 17 different states and 34 dioceses, including the Diocese of Spokane. Collectively, the jubilarians have rendered 1835 years of service.

Two of the Sisters honored for jubilees of Religious life ministered in the Spokane Diocese.

Sister Madonna Marie Cunningham, golden jubilarian, taught at St. Charles School in Spokane. She also served as Congregational Minister for the Sisters of St. Francis.

Sister Patrice Novak, a silver jubilarian, also taught at St. Charles School, as well as and St. Francis School, both in Spokane.

Currently she serves as Vocation Director for the community.
