APM hosts study sessions on U.S. bishops’ ‘Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord’
the Inland Register
(From the Dec. 21, 2006 edition of the Inland Register)
The Association of Parish Ministers (APM) is an organization of lay ministers in the Spokane Diocese dedicated to the continuing education, development and mutual support of those in various ministries.
The APM extends an invitation to study and reflect together on the American bishops’ recent document on lay ecclesial ministry, titled “Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord.”
The first session will explore the document’s first section, the foundations for lay ecclesial ministry in theology and Church teaching. The gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Parish Center, on the corner of 19th and Bernard in Spokane.
The gathering will conclude with a potluck salad: Everyone brings one salad ingredient, with APM providing lettuce, bread and beverages.
All are invited, whether ministers in religious education, music, as a lector, an administrator, or another capacity.
To attend, please RSVP Jim Tevenan, APM president, at (509) 624-1630; or by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
