The University of Notre Dame is hosting a summer conference July 9-13, especially designed to assist in the ministry discernment processes of young people.

Coordinating a delegation from the Spokane Diocese will be Dan Glatt, youth minister of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Spokane.

The conference, titled “ND Vision,” works from the premise that everyone has unique, God-given gifts and talents. The question becomes, How does God call us to use those gifts and talents?

ND Vision specifically invites students in grades 8-12 to take part in the workshops and presentations, as young people try to listen and understand God’s call – whether to marriage and family, professional life, or full-time ministry.

In addition, the high schoolers will learn leadership skills they can bring back to their parishes and diocese.

Cost of ND Vision is estimated at around $775, including transportation, lodging at Notre Dame, meals, and registration.

For a flyer, application, or other information, please contact Glatt at Our Lady of Fatima: 509-747-7213 or by e-mail at youth@fatimaspokane.com.

Glatt also is available to speak to youth and parents about this opportunity.

Applications are due by March 1, 2007.

Donations also are most welcome, to help fund attendance from the Spokane Diocese.

The conference web site is located at http://vision.nd.edu.
