Jubilees observed by Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia

the Inland Register

On Sunday, June 10, 31 Franciscan Jubilarians and approximately 150 other members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia together celebrated jubilees of Religious life at Our Lady of Angels Convent in Aston, Pa.

The ministries of the jubilarians have taken them to 19 different states and 33 dioceses, as well as to Puerto Rico and Ireland.

Collectively, the jubilarians have rendered 1,750 years of service.

Jubilarians who ministered in the Spokane Diocese are:

• Sister Mary Teresa (Angelina) Boland, at St. Charles School, Spokane.

• Sister Emily Ann (Marie Antoinette) Herbes, at St. Charles School and St. Joseph Family Center, Spokane.

  • Sister Margaret (Florecita) VanWagenen, at St. Charles School, St. Ann Infant Home, St. Joseph Children’s Home, and St. Francis Guest House.

  • Sister Florence Petsch, at St. Ann Infant Home.
