the Inland Register

(From the Sept. 13, 2007 edition of the Inland Register)

Brother Anthony A. (Tony) Cannon celebrated his 50th jubilee as a member of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers (formerly the Irish Christian Brothers) with his Religious community in Monterey County, Calif.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cannon (both deceased). He attended St. Francis of Assisi School and Gonzaga Prep, Spokane, and entered the novitiate shortly after his graduation from high school.

Brother Tony taught throughout North America before returning to Spokane in 1989, first to work in Gonzaga University’s admissions office, and then for over a decade at Morning Star Boys’ Ranch.

He retired from full-time ministry in 1994.
