(From the March 20, 2008 edition of the Inland Register)

On Friday, Feb. 29 – Leap Day – All Saints School celebrated Read Across America Day and the birthday of beloved author Dr. Seuss. Here Craig Ehlo, former NBA player and current announcer for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, shows that you’re never too old, too wacky, or too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child – the theme of this year’s event. Ehlo was joined by KHQ-TV news anchor Stephanie Vigil, former NFL player Mark Rypien, Lilac Princess Sarah Crowley, Fire Chief Bobby Williams, and other guest readers. Also making a special appearance were other Dr. Seuss characters: the Cat in the Hat and Things One and Two. (IR photo from All Saints School, Spokane)
