Sister Patricia Dorsey of the Sinsinawa Dominicans died May 28, 2008, at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, Wis. The Mass of Resurrection was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa June 2, 2008, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Patricia was born April 30, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Marie (Burvenich) Dorsey.
She made her first Religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 5, 1948, and her final profession Aug. 5, 1951. She taught primary and intermediate grades for 28 years; served as a pastoral minister for 10 years; and ministered at Catholic Eldercare, Minneapolis, for 11 years.
In the Diocese of Spokane, Sr. Patricia served as a pastoral minister at St. John Vianney Parish, Spokane, 1984-1986.
She retired to live in community at the Motherhouse in 1997 and moved to St. Dominic Villa in 2007. She served in Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Washington.

Sister Gertrude Rohner, Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration, 93, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at St. Joseph Nursing Facility, Spokane. She was in the 72nd year of her religious profession.
Sister Gertrude entered the field of healthcare, ministering as a nurse and x-ray technician for 44 years in hospitals in Idaho, Iowa, Washington (including Deaconess and Providence Hospitals in Spokane) and Wisconsin.
From 1978-1995 she devoted her life to pastoral care at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane.
For the next 12 years Sister Gertrude was a volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes parish.
In 2005 she retired in Spokane.
