Eastern Washington team to continue assistance in Mississippi

the Inland Register

(From the July 3, 2008 edition of the Inland Register)

Spokane’s Catholic Charities again will be sending a team from Eastern Washington to Waveland, Miss., and St. Clare Parish in late July for continued Hurricane Katrina relief work – restoring, rebuilding, constructing in an area that continues to suffer the devastating impact of that horrific storm.

The relief team requests gift cards for either Lowe’s Home Improvement or Wal-Mart to purchase supplies for its work team and for families in need they’ll be helping in Mississippi. The simple fact that gift card donations of any size are helpful.

Please consider supporting these dedicated volunteers. All gift cards should be mailed to Dan Glatt, Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 1517 E. 33rd Ave., Spokane WA 99203, by July 15.

Another option: team member Dave Crepeau of St. Joseph Parish, Spokane, has generously offered to stop by any Spokane parish office to pick up any donated Lowe’s or Wal-Mart gift cards. He can be reached at dcrepeau@dioceseofspokane.org.
