The Pennington Ballroom in the Davenport Hotel was the site for the launching of Catholic Charities Spokane’s first annual Gala. Held on March 8, the evening dinner social celebrated the supporters and good work of the organization, which spans the 13 counties of Eastern Washington.
Over 470 guests attended the event, which included music by Big Bing Theory, Gonzaga University’s premier acapella group.
Following the meal, guests were treated to the premiere of the Catholic Charities video, produced by Robideaux Strategic Marketing. Individuals who exemplify Catholic Charities’ four core values of compassion, collaboration, justice, and respect were honored.
Liz and Bob Sestero were awarded the Bishop’s Medal, Shelli Gross was chosen to receive the Donna Hanson award, and Dietra Miller was selected as Catholic Charities Employee of the Year. George Richards, a driver for the Volunteer Chore Services, was named Volunteer of the Year.
Next year’s event will be held April 30.
