Making lemonade when life hands you lemons

the Inland Register

(From the July 2, 2009 edition of the Inland Register)

Nursery rhyme characters such as a cat with a fiddle have a lot of problems. That’s one of the lessons second graders at All Saints School conveyed to their audience recently as they performed the play Lemonade. Based on the phrase “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade,” the play also reminded everyone that the right outlook and attitude can help you solve any problem – even if your dish has run away with your spoon. Here, Grace Pinnock, Anna McFarland and Olivia Wheat wait backstage for their chance to explain to Mother Goose their lack of tableware. (IR photo courtesy of All Saints School, Spokane)
