Retreat Center offers opportunities for spiritual growth in March, April
the Inland Register

In addition to its ongoing catechetical evenings of prayer, Immaculate Heart Retreat Center (IHRC), 6910 S. Ben Burr Rd. in Spokane, will be offering other opportunities for spiritual growth over the coming weeks.
• Holy Week retreats will begin March 29. The Women’s Holy Week Retreat is scheduled for March 29-31; the men’s, April 1-3.
Leading both will be Father Santan Pinto, a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, from Bosque, N.M., with the theme “Journey of the Passion: A Closer Walk with Jesus.”
The cost of the retreat per person is $185, and $115 for commuters.
• The Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Church, will lead a “Catholic Living” retreat March 19-21. The retreat will including Mass, Eucharistic adoration, Stations of the Cross, and conferences on Catholic culture – to “bolster Catholic living in a secularized culture.”
The cost of the retreat per person is $170, or $100 for commuters.
• The ongoing Catechetical Evenings of Prayer continue on Tuesday, March 23, with Father William O’Brien, pastor of SS. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Parish in Spokane Valley, discussing Chapters 7-9 of the U.S. Catholic Catechism for Adults.
It is the third of 12 in the series.
This Evening of Prayer begins at 4:30 p.m. with Mass celebrated in the Byzantine liturgy, followed by dinner and two conferences.
Cost is $35 per person.
April’s Catechetical Evening will feature Deacon Gonzalo “Chalo” Martinez of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, leading a discussion on Chapters 10-12 of the U.S. Catholic Catechism. The April 27 evening with Mass at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, and then two conferences, with time for questions, answers, and reflection.
Cost is $35 per person, per evening.
