Forty Days for Life kickoff

the Inland Register

(From the Sept. 30, 2010 edition of the Inland Register)

The 40 Days for Life effort held its kickoff rally Sept. 18 outside the Planned Parenthood facility on E. Indiana in Spokane. The rally began with prayer and a talk on the dignity of life by Father Kenneth St. Hilaire, pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Spokane, followed by talks by Jodi Wagner, Lynn Weingarten, Vickie Nicks, Susanne O’Dougherty and John Weingarten. Victoria Perri sang “O God You Search Me.” The rally was concluded with a talk and prayer by Annette Miller, Director of Life Services. Spokane’s fourth annual fall campaign began Sept. 22, one of 238 locations globally where people of faith commit to prayer and fasting for an end to abortion. The peaceful vigil in Spokane will be held outside the Planned Parenthood facility at 123 E. Indiana from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Volunteers can sign up for vigil times at or call 509-850-1340 and leave a message. This year’s campaign coordinators are John and Lynn Weingarten.
