Parish ministers to meet with Bishop Cupich for prayer, discussion

All parish ministers are invited to a meeting with Bishop Blase Cupich on Monday, Dec. 6, from 10:30 a.m.– 2 p.m. at St. Augustine Parish Center (below the parish office), 428 W. 19th (the corner of Bernard and 19th in Spokane).

The day’s schedule:
10:30 am: Gather
10:45 am: Prayer
11 am: Bishop Cupich will speak about “Faith Formation in the Parish.”
11:45 am: Lunch ($5)
12:30-1 p.m.: Table discussion of bishop’s talk, surfacing questions.
1-2 p.m.: Bishop Cupich will address questions.

Sponsored by the Association of Parish Ministers (APM), an organization that fosters professional ministry in the Church by providing ministers with opportunities for spiritual growth, mutual support, professional in service and social interaction.

The APM hopes to provide a channel and forum for sharing in the mission and activities of the local church.

According to Teresa McCann of the APM, “We are grateful for this opportunity to meet with our new bishop. As the diocese moves forward, we hope this gathering reflects a positive and forward looking tone.”
