Bishop Cupich to present ‘Theology on Tap’ Feb. 16
the Inland Register
(From the Feb. 3, 2011 edition of the Inland Register)
Since last fall, Spokane’s St. Peter Parish has been sponsoring “Theology on Tap” evenings – gatherings for adults interested in exploring their faith. The group has met at O’Doherty’s Irish Grille in downtown Spokane for dinner, followed by a discussion topic led by the parish’s pastor, Father Brian Mee.
Response has been good, he said, with 40-60 people attending each session.
On Wednesday, Feb. 16, Bishop Blase Cupich will be the guest presenter, speaking on “ongoing conversion in the life of the Christian,” with a quote from Blessed John Henry Newman as a starting point: “In a higher world it is otherwise; but here below to live is to change, and to be perfect is to change often.”
Although past sessions have used one of the rooms at O’Doherty’s, on the 16th the entire restaurant will be devoted to the “On Tap” session.
The evening is open to anyone over 21 years of age. It begins with a no-host dinner at 6 p.m., with the discussion starting at 7 p.m.

O’Doherty’s Irish Grille is located at 525 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
