School in Tanzania

the Inland Register

(From the March 17, 2011 edition of the Inland Register)

Originally the dream of Shirley Brock and Bernadine Kuttner of Catholic Daughers of the Americas Court #196, “Brick by Brick” is now the mission of a committed group of Spokane women. The group is growing and so are the plans to build a school in Tanzania, East Africa for poor children and orphans. Father Ignas Mulenda and the Franciscan Sisters of St. Bernadette of Lourdes will staff the school. Franciscan Sister Catherine Niyonsenga is currently studying at Gonzaga University and is available to speak to groups on the project and poverty in Africa. Anyone wishing to join the group, make a donation, or schedule a talk, contact Bernadine Kuttner at P.O. Box 48812, Spokane, Wa. 99228-1812.
