A merrier L’Arche Christmas

Tim Coyle from Knights of Columbus Council 14922, Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes in Spokane, presents L’Arche Spokane with a check for $874. In October these local Knights participated with Knights across the country selling Tootsie Rolls outside local stores on behalf of organizations who support people with intellectual disabilities. Funds were shared with Special Olympics and an organization of the local Council’s choice. L’Arche Spokane is a member of the International Federation of L’Arche. L’Arche is people with and without Developmental Disabilities sharing life in Christian community. Mutual relationship and trust in God is at the heart of their mission which is to celebrate the unique value of every person and to recognize our need of one another. Spokane has two L’Arche homes in the Logan neighborhood.Tim met the L’Arche community at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center.
