St. Charles students: champions for the unborn

the Inland Register

(From the October 18, 2012 edition of the Inland Register)

Every day at St. Charles School, Spokane, each class says a short prayer for the unborn. The students conduct a “diaper drive” each year to benefit Catholic Charities’ Childbirth and Parenting Assistance (CAPA) program. This year several eighth grade students will visit the other classrooms to discuss the gestational milestones of an unborn baby. They will also parallel the Virgin Mary’s nine-month journey, beginning with the Annunciation. The eighth grade students are doing this as part of their required leadership program. All these efforts will help instill a Culture of Life in the students. The program is available for use by other schools; contact the St. Gianna’s Pro-Life Group at 465-1554 for more information.
