Garden of St. John the Baptist

the Inland Register

(From the November 15, 2012 edition of the Inland Register)

Completed last month, the Garden of St. John the Baptist at St. Joseph Cemetery, Otis Orchards, offers approximately 700 ground cremation spaces. A beautiful, seasonal waterfall feature highlights the area and provides the soothing, peaceful sound of water. Each burial plot is available for a single or double inurnment. The first burial in the new area occurred Thursday, Oct. 25. Development of a Cremation Estate area to the east of the water, which could provide a family total of six inurnments each, is also under consideration. Donation opportunities for statues of St. John the Baptist, Jesus and St. Joseph are available; contact Executive Director Jim Falkner by phone ((509) 467-5496) or by email ( for more information. St. Joseph Cemetery is located at 17825 E. Trent Avenue. (IR photo courtesy of the Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services of Spokane)
