Providence Sister Carol Marie (Clara Marie Eleanor) Morin died Nov. 6 at Mount St. Joseph, Spokane. She had been a member of her Religious community for 68 of her 90 years.
The vigil service was prayed Nov. 12, and the funeral Mass was celebrated the next morning. Both took place at Mount St. Joseph in Spokane. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.
She was born in Red Lake Falls, Minn., and attended schools in Missoula, graduating from Sacred Heart Academy there in 1943.
She entered the Sisters of Providence on Aug. 27, 1944, in Seattle, and made her final vows in 1950.
Her academic accomplishments included a Certificate for a Training Course for Activity Director of Nursing Homes in 1970, certification from the Regional Education Center, Cheney, Wash., in 1975, and the CREDO Program at Gonzaga University, Spokane, in 1987.
Among her ministry assignments were time at Sacred Heart Hospital (now Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center), Spokane; Mount St. Joseph, Spokane; St. Joseph Academy, Sprague, Wash.; and several nursing homes in the Spokane area. She also engaged in extensive volunteer ministry in Spokane.
She retired to Mount St. Joseph in 1995.
