Dads/daughters dance at St. Patrick School

the Inland Register

(From the December 20, 2012 edition of the Inland Register)

Dads and daughters had a magical evening at the first Daughters of the Heavenly King Dance at St. Patrick School, Spokane, earlier this year. The night was inspired by sixth grader Abi Newcomb, a St. Patrick student who wanted to help her school and have a daddy/daughter dance that showcased Catholic values in music choice. Families from every local Diocesan school were represented as girls danced the night away with their dads. The playlist included pop, Christian, disco, and simply fun tunes without negative connotations for dancing. More than 50 families participated. The event raised over $1,000 for the school.
