Women Religious of the Spokane area are again offering a Twilight Retreat for young women age 18-35 the evening of Friday, Feb. 15.
When participants in last November’s retreat were asked what was most helpful about the evening, one young lady said, “Space and time to pray and listen and share with the other women. The topic was extremely relevant to my life (“Tending Our Longings’) and the wisdom, love and understanding of the Sisters’ sharing was so valuable.”
The women also indicated that they would like to meet sometime individually with a Sister, for a variety of reasons; for instance, to talk about questions of spirituality, to get to know Sisters better, to hear about the Sisters’ ministries and lifestyles, and to stay connected with other women serious about their spirituality.
These Twilight Retreats have been offered courtesy of the Holy Name Sisters’ hospitality at their convent in St. Francis Parish in north Spokane.
The Feb. 15 retreat begins with dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by evening of prayer and sharing. Interested women can e-mail Sister Sharon Bongiorno of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration at email@example.com
