Some 200 children in grades pre-kindergarten through 5th took part in last summerís Vacation Bible School, a cooperative effort by five southside Spokane parishes.

To start out the summer, the Spokane parishes of Our Lady of Fatima, Sacred Heart, St. Augustine, St. Peter, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes took 200 pre-kindergarten through 5th graders on a journey through ancient Athens to experience St. Paulís missionary journey to share the teachings of Jesus. Over 75 6th-12th graders and more than 20 adults volunteered to help with the project, along with the support of parish staff.

And there was an exciting bonus: Bishop Cupich dropped by for a visit mid-week as well.
