KLS in action

the Inland Register

(From the June 19, 2014 edition of the Inland Register)

The Know, Love, and Serve (KLS) pastoral planning initiative has taken root at St. Paschal Parish in Spokane Valley. Under the leadership of Irene Bailly, more than a dozen parishioners renovated the parish rectory to become the Parish Center, including its new chapel. A recent Open House held after a Knights of Columbus breakfast let members from both St. Paschal and St. John Vianney parishes tour the center. Putting KLS into practice even further, volunteers at St. Paschal Parish in Spokane Valley met recently to develop a volunteer survey to provide a welcome team that would keep the newly-renovated Parish Center open and available for a variety of uses, for not only both St. Paschal and St. John Vianney parishioners, but also other members of the wider Catholic community. A variety of activities are already planned. Seated from left to right are Kathy Foreman, Vivian Gregson, Doris Manfred, Bobbie Small, Charlotte Mangan, and project manager Irene Bailly.
