Our Lady’s Rosary Group, meeting at St. Thomas More Parish, Spokane, every Tuesday at 1 p.m., makes and sends rosaries to Africa. The rosary makers come from several parishes in the diocese and boxes of rosaries are sent to six missionaries in Africa. They are most anxious to receive the rosaries.
Sister Noelina Namagembe is the sister of Father Luta Nsubuga, parocial vicar of St. Patrick Parish in Pasco. Sister Noel sent this picture of her students receiving the rosaries in Mubende, Uganda, at St. Zoe Day and Boarding Primary School. The students like to wear them around their neck.
Sister Noel writes, “Our students really enjoy them so much and they recite them, praying for themselves, the Rosary Group, their parents, the needs in Mother Church, and the world at large. We normally pray together.”
Men and women wishing to learn how to make rosaries to be sent to Africa are welcome to join the St. Thomas More group. The parish is located at 505 W. St. Thomas More Way.
