Two Spokane Diocese deacons who serve as youth ministers – Deacon Kelly Stewart of St. John Vianney Parish, Spokane Valley, and Deacon Dan Glatt, of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Spokane – are preparing to take students to the University of Notre Dame July 4-13, 2015, to participate in ND Vision, a summer conference where student will have the opportunity to explore how God is calling them and how to respond to that call with their gifts in daily life.

ND Vision gathers high school students from across the country. Those eligible to participate are students entering or graduating from high school in 2015.

ND Vision believes that God calls everyone to live fully and faithfully. Throughout the week at Notre Dame Vision, this call is unpacked in many ways, including dynamic large group presentations, interactive small group time, profound liturgies and excellent music.

Everyone wants to know who they are and where they are going in life, questions that are especially pressing during the high school years. Notre Dame Vision helps with this journey by introducing the process of recognizing God’s call and choosing how to respond. Despite parish activity, or strength of faith, or nature of questioning – or lack thereof – all Catholic high school students are invited to attend ND Vision.

The cost of ND Vision is $975, which covers transportation, conference fees, lodging, transfers, and all meals. The group from the Spokane Diocese will travel by train to South Bend, Ind., in time for the conference.

For more information: check out ND Vision web site at vision.nd.edu; call Deacon Dan Glatt at (509) 747-7213; or email him at youth@fatimaspokane.com

Deacon Glatt is also available to make ND Vision presentations at parishes, for eighth grade classes, or parish youth groups.
