Women Religious offer Twilight Retreat Feb. 27
the Inland Register
(From the February 19, 2015 edition of the Inland Register)
Pope Francis has declared 2015 as the “Year of Consecrated Life”, and has urged Religious Women to open up their doors, educate the laity, dialogue with the faithful, and recreate in families and parishes a culture of Vocations.
Representatives of the various Sisters of the Spokane Diocese hope to further the pope’s intentions by offering a special Twilight Retreat for single Catholic Women (18-50 years old) on Feb. 27. This special evening will be at the Monastery of St. Clare, 4419 N. Hawthorne, Spokane, from 6-11 p.m. and will involve Sisters of almost every order serving in the diocese.
Although its theme is “Imagine the Life of a Sister,” this retreat is not exclusively for women presently discerning a call to the Sisterhood and will be educational for all.
The evening will include all the elements of earlier Friday evening Twilight Retreats offered by the Sisters for young women: a simple dinner; prayer: Adoration: multi-media input, personal stories and dialogue; reflection and journaling time; getting to know like-minded Catholic women as well as Sisters.
To attend, call Providence Sister Karen Hawkins at (206) 661-5925, or email her at Karen.email@example.com.
