Franciscan jubilarians served the Diocese of Spokane in many ministries

The Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia celebrated their annual jubilee weekend from June 12-14 for Sisters who were celebrating 50, 70, and 75 years of Religious profession.

These 27 Franciscan women represent 1,478 years of service throughout the United States as well as in other countries. Four of this yearís jubilarians ministered previously in the Diocese of Spokane.

Sister Ann Rosaire Bradley is celebrating 70 years of Religious profession. During her years in Spokane, she served as a pastoral visitor and volunteer at Barry House. Currently Sister Ann is serving in prayer ministry at Assisi House, the congregationís retirement residence in Aston, Pa.

The other three Sisters with Spokane ties mark 50 years of Religious profession.

Sister Esther Anderson (formerly Sister Marie Colman) taught at St. Charles School. Currently she lives in Aston, Pa., and serves as a consultant for various congregations and organizations.

Sister Celeste Crine ministered at St. Joseph Family Center in Spokane, where she served as director of spirituality, healing arts, and hospitality. Currently she ministers as associate director of the School of Applied Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, Calif.

Sister Bridget McNamara (formerly Sister Daniel Helene) served as director of the Christus Program at Gonzaga University and taught at St. Charles School. Currently Sister Bridget serves in spiritual ministry in Reading, Pa.
