Skiing into Mass

the Inland Register

(From the October 15, 2015 edition of the Inland Register)

As soon as the 2015-2016 ski season begins at 49 Degrees North, Chewelah’s St. Mary of the Rosary Parish will host a special ski-season Mass on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m., open to everyone (Catholic and non-Catholic alike). Many of Chewelah’s local Catholics attended this seasonal Mass last year, taking advantage of its convenient time: just after the lifts close on the mountain, and still early enough to get dinner afterward. The Mass offers an opportunity for out-of-town ski-season tourists to enjoy a weekend of skiing and still get to church before Sunday ends. For more information, call the parish office (935-8028) or check out the parish website (www.chewelahcatholic.org). (IR photo courtesy of Father Jeff Lewis)
