(From the April 21, 2016 edition of the Inland Register)

St. Anne’s Children and Family Center, a program of Catholic Charities Spokane, provides high-quality early learning opportunities and experiences for children of all faiths who range in age from 1 month through 6 years. As a participant in Washington State Early Achievers, we are committed to meeting and exceeding all quality and educational standards for our center and for each child we serve.

St. Anne’s has been an active participant in Early Achievers, the state quality improvement program for early learning, since it was a pilot program in 2009. Providing the highest quality care and education for children is a mission fulfilled with great joy. Parents/guardians are comforted not only by our secure facility, but also our webcam that allows them virtual access to classrooms and outdoor playgrounds throughout the school day.

Our well-educated and experienced teachers provide quality hands on and discovery activities that foster creativity and problem solving skills. We use research-based curriculum and assessment tools to insure we are providing daily activities that meet state standards in the domains of social/emotional, physical, language and cognitive development. The children have fun and make friends while learning in our nurturing environment.

The families who enroll their children at St. Anne’s enjoy:

• Secure Locked Facility with 14 separate large classrooms, multiple indoor large motor areas, three outdoor play areas, and a covered roof top play area.
• Internet-based secure cameras for families to watch their child at play.
• Curriculum-based educational program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers focused on the individual child.
• Qualified and nurturing teachers who have degrees in Education, Early Childhood Education and/ or STARS training.
• Two large areas for specialized S.T.E.A.M activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
• Family library and large community garden.

To tour St. Anne’s and for more information, attend a “Family Orientation Meeting and Tour” the first Monday of any month from 5:45-7 p.m. at the Center, 25 W. 5th Ave. in Spokane. You may also contact our Family Services Coordinator at (509) 232-1111 ext.203 with questions.
